The first micro:bits in Space student hackathon occurred on 8:00 AM ET (6:30 PM IDT) December 10th - 8:00 AM ET (6:30 PM IDT) December 11th, 2022. English-speaking students ages 8-16 from around the world are encouraged to sign up for this competition. Students were organized into 3-person teams and given 24 hours to solve a series of open-ended problems related to growing food in space. There was no cost for students to participate. The event was sponsored by The Little Martians, Boon-Dah, Inc. the Aerospace and Innovation Academy, the Wolfpack CubeSat Development Team, and BLUECUBE Aerospace. All students need to get their parents permission to participate.
